Original LED Mod:

So I bought one of these boards to see what is all about.
I think they are amazing pieces of hardware.
My first board was a Zero second edition with bluetooth and WiFi support on board.
Quite fast on terminal mode while working in headless mode and terribly slow with the GUI.
At least a Pi3b was donated to me from my friends today on my birthday :-)
So, what is this post about?
We had an idea on http://flashback-computing.com/ to make a bbs and the first candidate was my Pi Zero.
Immediately the first thing the crossed my mind was a proper case for this kind of duty that would appealed with the seriousness of the situation :-D
I thought that a CRAY case would match like a charm, so I started scavenging parts to use as I wanted to make it with what I could find on my path.
It wasn't about money I just felt that way it should be done, like a machine from a fallout generation.
Enough talking, let's see some pictures.
A piece of industrial PVC pipe was used for the main body.
A slice for the "door"
Small pieces of wood
A bit of painting
It begins to take shape
Now it's time for a CPU Usage LED mod
Everything is wired up
Testing threshold
Roger, 100%
A black CD was used for the roof top.
Removed the paint to become semi-transparent
Testing CPU usage once more
Behold! The Beast's internal organs
A USB plus Ethernet hub
